Last year the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling in Murphy V. NCAA, one of the most consequential cases for gaming in the United States in a generation. Learn more about the complexities of the Court’s decision and what it means for the tribal gaming industry in your state.

Even before the SCOTUS ruling, tribal operators have been preparing for a favorable ruling and passing legislation to advance sports betting in their jurisdiction. With limited overlap between the ruling and state legislative calendars, this session will discuss what tribes can do today to prepare for legalized, regulated sports betting.

How does your casino make money from sports betting? What are reasonable profit expectations? What is the projected revenue of a sportsbook including estimated market size? Can you reasonably expect a sportsbook to increase other gaming and ancillary income at your casino? This session, led by industry experts, will break down the benefits.

Offering sports betting has its risks and rewards. Hiring the right people and implementing robust managerial and financial controls are paramount. All tribal operators will need vetted and valued third parties to make your sportsbook a success. What types of functions and features are typically needed? What major vendors support a sportsbook? Who handles risk management?

With the repeal of PAPSA squarely in the rearview mirror, a few tribes have aggressively moved forward and established a sportsbook. Come hear from these early adopters about the challenges they confronted and the rewards that they have reaped.

How do you market to sports bettors?  What percentage of casino players bet on sports?  Industry experts discuss the latest trends and innovations in sports betting.
